8 plums, stoned (pitted) and chopped (158 cals)
4 large eating apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (288 cals)
200ml (generous ¾ cup) good-quality dry (hard) cider (72 cals)
75g (3oz) caster (superfine) sugar (296 cals)
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over a medium heat, cover with a lid and cook, stirring every minute, for 5 minutes until the fruit is tender.
