As some of you may know, I’ve often suffered with gut health sensitivities. Nothing so bad that I’ve been to the doctor. But highly annoying nonetheless!
I used to feel bloated after a meal. Bloating is so subjective, it’s hard to know the exact cause and solution. I didn’t tend to feel poorly, so it was hard to pin it down to any one cause. I also got eczema on my face and had a tendency to migraines.
Talking about gut health problems is a taboo subject for many of us. If you’ve been up most of the night with stomach pains, would you mention it to your friend over coffee the next day? Would you mention your loose bowels at the school gates? Of course not. We keep the pain and anxiety hidden. And if the pain and symptoms just get worse year on year, do we complain? No, we just get on with it and learn to manage the symptoms.
Well, this year, my friends, I decided to do something about it!
I did lots of research and reading (there’s a lot of scary stuff on the internet let me tell you!) and an awful lot of self-experimentation and recipe testing.
I learnt what foods affected me – not just my digestion and my intolerances – but my whole well-being.
I love sharing my ideas and recipes with others, so I put it all together into The 28 Day Gut Health Plan.
